Before we get into the excitement, I hope everyone has been enjoying the beautiful summer! We have a lot planned this summer, so we hope everyone can join in and have a great time!
First, one of our meetings, June 12th has been cancelled, because most of the POD team members will not be in the area. Okay, now for the big news: we are having Isabelle from Greenpeace come in and lead a three day training in June! We are still planning the details, but here's a general outline of what's going to happen. Sunday June 24th- A full day of training and activities, possibly a hike, and we are trying to plan this at a fun outdoor venue Monday June 25th- Another day of training and activities, trying to plan for the library, most likely around 11 am-2 pm, break for lunch, then meet again later Tuesday June 26th- A day with an action involved, maybe driving down to Leonard Lance's office, and our monthly meeting from 6:30-8:00 pm We will provide all the specific information for you and your parents as soon as we have it figured out, but if you are available, mark it on your calendars, and email [email protected] if you can make it! We really want to plan this so it can be the most enriching experience, and with the time of all three days, we can create a very interactive agenda and effective activities! Don't be intimidated, we will be starting from very basics and everyone is welcomed, no matter what kind of experience you have. It is just an opportunity to learn and grow and have a great time, so we hope you can all make it!
